Can you jump in to the sea from 100ft and survive?
Answers:
+ people have survived things like falling from a yard arm into the sea, or off of the deck of an aircraft carrier, so it is possible. It is more likely that you will be injured, and that most of those that fall from that height drown because of the other injuries keeping them from being able to swim or float. If you had to, try "Mike D's" technique as it sounds the best if you had time to execute it. Hope the water is deep enough. Mike should also have mentioned to hold your breath?
GOOD LUCK
Try it ..... Just kidding don't die on us
yes
Yes if the water is deep enough. Try to stay upright with your foot both together. I would not chance any further drop than 30 mtrs.(100 feet)
Yes but would probably depend upon the shape of the body when hitting the water probably feet first or head first as in a dive would be best. After all high divers and cliff divers do it on a regular basis.
If you stay straight upright then you'll have a chance.
In any other position you the water turns into a plank and you won't make it.
why not try it & give me the answer
if i am superman,ha..ha..!
belly floppppppppp!!!!!
Ive done it from 65 ft and survived. Cliff jumping in devon. Very good fun ! but you have to wear trainers or it will really hurt your feet. and pencil it rather than going head first. oh and dont put your arms out to the sides they get hurt when you hit the water.
P.s. you will also get a lot of water up your nose !!
But good fun not sure I could jump from 100ft as it is a hell of a long way down, just for some fun.
Any one thinking of doing this look for black water and wear a boyancy aid. It is very dangerous
If the water is too shollow you could hit the rocks or burry your legs in the wet sand 20ft under water.
Keep your feet and knees together, feet slight crossed and arms folded, head up.
who gives a ****
... if you can come up .. you will not know which side is up ...
Yes if you hit the water right.
These high diving fella's actually aireate the water in the impact zone to stop it hurting so bad when they touch down. It breaks up the surface tension and allows for a smoother entry.
If ya can get a mate to blow some bubbles under water where you're gonna land you should be well away!
I've done 65 ft into a quarry 2x. You have enough time in the air to think complete thoughts like "Why did I do this? I can't believe I am not at the water yet. This was a really bad idea." You can scream long enough that you have to take another breath to continue screaming. I highly recommend a 65 ft/20m drop. Keep in mind that acceleration in a gravitational field is 32ft/s/s or 9.8m/s/s so in a 100ft/30m drop you will be going MUCH faster (too drunk to do the math) when you hit the water. You must keep your hands and feet together, wear shoes, full pants, and long sleeve shirt. Point your toes and try to keep your body as vertical as possible. The first jump I did my butt was slightly out and it felt like someone kicked me in the @ss as hard as they could. The second jump I was straight but tilted slightly forward and it felt like I got punched on both sides of my face simultaneously. There was no third jump, but I still have full functionality in my extremities (touch wood).
Hi >
The simple answer is OK if you hit the surface in a decent manner. I've jumped into the briny from about 80ft in the Mid-East.,
splooshed feet-first with arms aloft.
Scary, but I am obviously here to tell the tale without injury.
Another 20ft should be OK. The falling is not a problem, just hit the surface cleanly and smoothly, and all is well.
As long as it is not three feet deep !
Bob
Even at a full gallop, I couldn't jump 100 feet into the sea. It's easier to just wade in.
