My car's radiator is leaking, would rad-seal help it?

Answers:
Give it a go !!
yes try that, if ot get a new rad or a second hand one
Depends how bad the leak is but it doesn't last for long .An egg works just as well short term!

Try this if it's as good as it says it is it'll be worth the money!

stick an egg in, break it first
Yup.
Only until you get it fixed by a mechanic or radiator specialist. It is a quick fix item only, not designed for long term use
Yes it's really really good but it's only designed for a quick fix and not to be used to permanently solve the problem. Use it but also get the car into a garage to sort the problem out within the next couple of weeks.
THE BEST THING WOULD BE.
REPLACE WITH A NEW ONE.
ONCE THEY START TO LEAK YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLE
Maybe. A new radiator is less than $200 from Advance Auto or Auto Zone.
depends on how bad the leak and what type of radiator it is if its aluminum sealer should work but some of the plastic ones it may not work
Only in the short term, if at all. It is better to either have the old on cleaned an re-soldered or get a new one.
Mine leaked once so i bought some car body filler
and squeezed it in to the radiator this stopped the leak and for good measure i put radiator seal in,it lasted life of the car
it should do also try a raw egg in the rad
Yes rad-seal would help as a short term soultion but if i were u i would get a new 1 asap.
I always use Barrs Leaks ( I think that is how it is spelt). I put some in to seal leaking heater matrix 3 years ago, still OK.
depends on the leak
Yes, or an egg.
if you can get Conklin Dyke then yes that stuff works. if you can i wouldnt trust anything else on the market except another product thats only available to radiator shops.
Don't use "miracle" cures myself. If it coats the radiator enough to seal the leak, what does coating the water jacket in your engine block do?
I'v tried the seal a few times and sh!t don't waste you time,go to the junk yard or just have it re cored if you have the funds.
Put some powder mustard in it will sort it for a while. Or cut the leak out if its a small one and seal it by using a pliers to squeeze the pipes closed.
Is old car or relative new car.
The radiator is old design, you can fix (welding).
The radiator is new design (plastic parts) is better that you change
If its not a Rover/Honda V6 engine and the leak isn't too bad use block seal instead. Its designed for much more extreme useage so will probably fix it as well as a new rad would. If its a major leak though nothing will repair it barring replacement.
Yes, but put it in when the engine is cold.
