Irish HGV drivers?

Why in the UK do Irish HGV driver drive faster than most, they seem to drive at 70 MPH , when I drive my truck it is limited to 56 MPH , something doesn't seem right..is it one rule for them and one for us.???

dont you ever take the piss out of us Irish, i think they can drive faster as they can handle it more than you English drivers, you english hgv drivers are just *****'s and cant handle your load, your only interested in the big fat fry up you will get at them horrible cafe's along the roadside, so there, bet youre sitting in your cab right now on your wireless laptop! If you have an Irish licence you won't get points in the UK and visa versa, you can come over here a speed, the law is changing but not yet.the Irish Gardi can do nothing if you've a UK licence.
Why worry about it? Obey the laws of the Country,and your employer,stay the *$*&^^%$^% out of they'er way and let them face the consequences!
I watched a program about how many hours lorry drivers do, and how theirs more work than drivers so i expect their trying to get more done to make more money!
