Which side of a car is the off side?
Answers:
As with football the offside rule can be made complicated, but the best way to understand it is to park your car on the correct side of the road, with the correct flow off traffic, that is the way you would normally be facing if you were driving, and the offside is the side furthest away from the curb, just a little note to let you know that manufactures have the same problem, and now use right or left side as you are sat in the drivers seat .
If you want to know about offside in football (soccer) then i cannot help you there sorry.
The passenger side
opposite to the on side?
right hand side the nearside is near the kerb
the drivers side is offside the passenger side is nearest the kerb hope that helps
the drivers side
the side furthest from the /kerb/pavement/sidewalk/.
The same side the driver's door is on.
The other side is the "nearside" (near the kerb)
the opposite to the near side
The side farthest away from the kerb when travelling or facing in the correct direction on the correct side of the road.
The drivers side
Im not to sure my self - so im going to check here for the answer also!
Off side is furthest from pavement near side next to pavement
Whether it is left hand drive, as in most countries, or right hand drive in others, it is always the side away from the kerb, or nearest the middle of the road.
on the middle
The side furthest from the side of the road. Usually the drivers side unless you are driving a left hand drive in UK or a right hand drive in Europe . then it gets complicated!
THINK PLEASE! The nearside is the side nearest the curb.
the drivers side
try the side that is off side !!! (ie, away from the kerb!) i think its self explanatory!!
from the answers it looks like to me that there is not an obvious answer to your question. Both offer an understandable explanation. I have never heard either side of a car referred to as "on" or "off" side. I'm not sure where you could go for the correct answer. Maybe an automobile manufacturer? I would try contacting one of them. Good luck.
the side nearest the center of road
The drivers side, the side furthest away from the pavement, the side nearest the middle of the road.
The right hand side when you are sitting in car is the offside
IN the UK in a right hand drive vehicle, the off side is the drivers side.
the side nearest the kerb when driven normally in the UK (pasengers side) is the Nearside, and the other side (driver's side) is the Offside.
