As ice melts I assume the fresh water added to the sea water will dilute the salt further and make the sea water less dense. Will this mean that all ships will float lower in the water and has anyone considered the cost of repainting the Plimsol line higher on every ship! Will submarines sink faster?

The tolerance for painting the Plimsoll line is +/- .000002 inch. This makes it unnecessary for one to take into account the stated concern.
Submarines operate on the principal of controlled buoyancy.not gravity alone.
Besides, fresh water evaporates at a faster rate than salt is added to the sea.so the oceans are becoming saltier.
(And Americans eating with their hands is the result of King George III oppressively taxing colonial silverware. We got used to doing without. We don't bow to our president, either.)
Wow that is deep. We should all by Morton's salt and poor it back in the ocean. This will equal out the problem.
