MG Rover going bust has NO affect on parts supply, like all motor manufacturers they dont make their own parts they are always outsourced.
Parts are freely available.
Rovers break down no more or less than any other car.
EVERY major manufacturer has faults with their cars, nobody slags off BMW about their head gasket faults or VW and Mercedes about their constant poor reliability.
No wonder the British Motor industry has died with clueless idiots around like some of the answerers.
Now, sorry postwriter but it makes my blood boil!
The price seems very reasonable, take it for a drive and if you like it, get it!
They are cheap to insure, quick for a 1400, cheap tax and return about 40mpg.
There's some quite enthusiastic websites, clubs and forums for them too.

I saw one advertised the other day for £2,800 so it better have extras or its over priced.
Is it 3-door or 5-door? How many miles?
If we assume 5-door and 36,000 miles, that would retail at between £4500 and £5200 depending on where you buy it so it would be a very good deal. Bear in mind that MGs and Rovers will depreciate like crazy now though.
No coz their crap, avoid Rover, the company's bust, you'll not get parts when it breaks down, which it will by the way!!
