Which airliners have the best and worst safety record?
Answers:
As of today, there hasn't been a fatal American commercial airline crash since just after September 11th. Please note that I'm talking about all American airlines, not American Airlines specifically.
There are some overseas airlines that have truly appalling safety records, but even those are safer than any other form of transportation.
Really, from a statistical standpoint, the difference between the best and worst is not terribly useful anyway. Even the best airline could move down to the lowest spot just by having a single fully-loaded 747 or A380 crash with no survivors.
American Ones.
best? it has to be german lufthansa
worst? probably afghan airlines (psss..do they have a plane as yet?)
Jet Airways in india and British Airways in Uk
It depends upon the nuber of flights vs the accidents. No one airline can be picked as the safest or the worst.
They all have their problems. Southwest seems to have the best safety record.
I fly a lot internationally the worst ones I find are all of the Mexican and central American airline. But, they are interesting.
Best, that depends on the flight. I like Korean Airlines always had a great flight. Also Thai airlines.
