Answers:
Citroen 2CV the most practical car in France aside from an old beetle. PS they are also cheap to run and repair.
Don't.
renault 4 sounds like a good car.. honest.. really
All second hand cars here in France are much more expensive,a lot of brits re register their brit cars.but the most popular French cars seem to be small DIESEL Peugeot's or Renault's
peugeot 407

Don't buy french anything. get a BMW.
I live in France and drive a (UK) Renault Clio. I love it - compact, nippy (even the 1.nothing engine!) Though 5 doors are rare in the UK, there are loads over here. The other good point is that every second car over here seems to be a Clio (!), so repairs and spares are easy to come by and chap. The boot (trunk) is quite spacious, and it's so easy to park, as the front and back are relatively 'straight' (you reverse almost up to the rear windscreen.)
Citroen C1 is practical on fuel and insurance costs and funky looking too.
Renault clio
citroen C3 diesel
Move to Germany and buy a BMW
I'd go for a Renault Clio, or perhaps a Kangoo.
Depends how much you value image over practicality.
The 1.5dCi engine is very efficient.
The Renault Modus and 3dr versions of Mégane aren't built in France, but Spain, while the Mégane sedan is built in Turkey - but many 5door versions are built in France.
The Citroën C1 and Peugeot 107 are built in the Czech Republic.
