What would you recommend? A Audi a3 1.8 t, or a golf gti? both aged around 6 years old..cheers!?
Answers:
Go for the Audi. Even though I love VW's as well.
There is no car better than each other
Seriously do you want to save around three and half grand?
Take a look at a Skoda! I had Skoda Fabia vRS two mths ago and it is a beaut of a car. Goes like stink, built (I think) better than any Audi or VW.
I am deadly serious about this!
Go for the Golf, first off its a GTI..secondly - VW have low depreciation, so yeh you'll pay bit now but when you sell it it'll still be worth a few bob. Thirdly, VW's are built good and proper and also the any parts you may need are cheaper than Audi (I would imagine).
Hope this helps!!
the golf ofcourse.
a golf gti. you wont have any problems finding parts for the car. Audi is a pain in the A### the parts are very expensive and you have to order them every time.
If you can stretch to it an early Civic type R. But of those 2 I'd go for the Audi!
Golf. Underneath the skin, these cars share many components, but Audi charges more because it is a "premium brand".
Is it worth paying more for an Audi badge? I think not.
If it was up to me, I'd go for a third choice; Skoda Octavia VrS. Again, it's basically the same car, but with a different badge, and cheaper still.
While both these are fantastic cars, the spare parts price and the insurance cost of the Audi would be far greater.
neither get a monster truck and run over both
You'll get more Golf gti for your money.
Ive never driven an Audi a3, but they are nice cars.
Ive owned a golf gti, and it was solid (till i smashed it up on motorway..)
Was always reliable, and fairly common so parts is never gonna be a problem.
I like the look of the sporty a3 - the audi a3 is a bit less common than the golf so exclusivity could be a factor.
I would edge for the Golf myself because it has had many renditions and is a solid car.
golf gti's are fast off the start
