Honda Accord, and I would highly recommend it. They're very reliable cars, not to mention that they get great gas mileage and have a high resale value.
Mazda Mx-5, and yes I would it's fantastic. Really good fuel economy and a brilliant car to drive :-)

Alfa Romeo 164 3.0 V6.. all mod cons, goes like an absolute rocket, fuel consumption is ok, and mine looks like its just come from the showroom, tax & mot, and only £ 210 on e-bay :)
i drive a toyota carina e had it 3 years without any problems and it aint got abit of rust on it hope this helps.

i own an aston martin db9 and its.actually i dont (i wish) i own a 306 convertable but am going to get the new type-r when its out next year as it looks sooo pretty. and yes i would recommend it!
Subaru - a superb car with a fantastic build quality. I use an old Mondeo for work and I cannot imagine circumstances that will cause me to buy another Ford.
Ford (mercury in us) Cougar V6 24v 2.5
Great engine, pretty quick, but not as quick as the engine size would suggest.
Looks and styling are great,
Build quality is questionable, rattles and squeaks even from new.
Handling is very good. Big tires and good suspension so sticks to the roads.
Fuel economy is poorish, but then it's a V6 - which sounds ggrrrreat incidentally.
I love it, but could have been better, especially the build quality, and I think they could have got more than 170bhp out of that big engine.
Would I recommend? Erm yes and no. Your can pick them up very cheap for a lot of car, but the build quality could be better which lets down what is otherwise a great car.
Mini Cooper S convertible. I've only had this a couple of months, my wife and I wanted a fun car for just the 2 of us, as we already have a big people carrier for the family. Got to say its just amazing. They have stiff suspension so dont expect a soft ride, coutry lanes and you might just keep your fillings in, very fast 137mph, sees off most in the o to 60 stakes as well. We got an ex demo to save us a few k, its 3 months old.
You won't be able to keep the smile off your face every time you get in it, got a real personality and is beautifully quirky.
Also got 80% residuals after 3 years, better than Porche so you can have a lot of fun and they hold their value.
Best colours the red or dark silver look stunning.

Jaguar XJR it's great apart from occasionally throwing a wobbly and doing 2 GALLONS TO THE MILE!!
Also got a Ford Scorpio 2.3 which is also great. Smooth, bit dead, not powerful enough. But very relaxing and cheap to run too, and more reliable than the Jag as it's never yet had a problem.
Honda VFR 800. Yes I know it's a bike but I love it. Puts a grin on my face everytime I go out. Use The wife's civic type R when it's raining.

Peugeot 307 estate. seems OK, 50+ mpg. holds a load of stuff.

2007 BMW 328i coupe. Yes, i would recommend it, unless you can afford the 335i. Best cars for the money on the planet.

Ive had 3 peugeots and 1 ford fiesta:
106 Diesel: 70-80 MPG, reliability, felt like driving a 600cc tho
106 Quiksilver: Loads faster, loved that car - got stolen :(
Ford fiesta - rag about whilst sorting out above stolen car, worst car I've ever driven and deathtrap.
206 Xsi - tiny bit faster than 106 QS, 44mpg from 1.6 engine, reliable and my current car!
As you can imagine I quite like peugeots, however I think my next car in 2 or so years will be something a bit more upmarket (plus I think all the new french car models are really, really ugly) something like a golf, I love the concept of the new TSI engine, if they can develop a more powerful version it would be a rocket!
Landrover Discovery 300Tdi. Superb, economical, comfortable, safe, roomy, great to drive, and the old oilburner engine sounds great.
Many years ago I had a second hand Rolls Royce which was wonderful..but the servicing costs were rediculous and I sold it (after about two years and for a little bit more than I paid for it!) in case something serious went wrong which would have cost more to repair than the car was worth.
I have an old Renault, 190000 miles original engine gearbox doesn't cost a penny at MOT time, 40mpg cheap insurance what more can I ask for?
audi a4 convertible 4.2quattro..yes i would recommend it..excellent car.holds its price, great in all weather..the only downside is the fuel economy!..but who cares about that?
