What car should I get?

I passed my test on Thursday (yaaaay), and have started looking for my first car. I need an automatic. Any ideas for what I could get/look at?

I can spend around £2500-3000 tops, I just want a hatchback really, don't mind 3 or 5 door. I'm 24 so something that's not ridiculous to insure. It needs to be available in automatic. I'm in the UK. Just after some suggestions.

Check out wisebuyers.co.uk it gives the best motoring advice on what all the cars costs and let's you compare to get the best vale for money. The key info they give is the insurance groups which is very important as a new driver.
Honda Jazz, Vauxhall Corsa or Citroen C2/C3
A '92-'95 or '96-'00 generation Civics would make excellent cars. They come in hatchback styles, automatic, and are great on gas. They only con is that they don't have much go.
Get a VW Golf
volkswagon pointer or audi a4 or peugeot 206
Congratulations mine is on December 15th
well done !!!!!

I'll be buying a ford focus when I pass
Corvette or Ferrari
only ones i no are citroen c2 has a tiptonic / automatic gerbox olso the smart car but both will be hard to find in your budget
Don't get a car. Save the planet.
you should get a corvette, even though it is a little pricey. I mean it is rediculous money, but it is a really cool car. A corvette is a good vehicle too. and make it red or black.
People like you really really get me sick.
You can't even drive safely on the road and all you want to do is show off. And where do you get your money from? From whoring what else? I bet you lifetd your skirt for the test thats why you passed it. Thats the only reason you passed it.

You cant manage a manual car so you insist on a automatic. People like you really do get me sick. I hope you end up in a M42 pile up soon.
Hiyah Girlie

Well done on passing your test, in my experience i would advice a VW Golf as your trusted, safe first motor. If you looked into it you will find insurance companies will state that it is the least car involved in accidents/incidents.
Along with its classy, stylish look, its safety specifications speak for themselves...e.
vauxhall corsa
I would look for an automatic Astra/Focus as its safer not to have a small car - these should be in your budget as Auto versions of these cars are quite common.

Just remember now you've passed you can now begin to really learn how to drive, good luck.
