The first rule of the road is that every driver is a prat. Think that all the time and it helps. Yes, one should always look around even if one has the right of way (either as a pedestrian or a motorist) but this is because there's always some idiot about to do something stupid. I drive around 20,000 miles a year and I know I've done some stupid things. But I do try and apologise when I've fouled up, like forgetting to cancel an indicator or whatever. Be pleased he did stop and think of how much he's worn out his tyres and brakes by his actions.may give you some feel good factor!
i think you will find he didn't see the light but that's no excuse for his rudeness. glad your ok that's the main thing
well dont just step out. green man or no look both ways.
You answered your own question there - because theyre IDIOTS.
because they're idiots.
Yes its rather annoying the way some people turn into prats when they get behind the wheel. There's a general culture amongst drivers in Britain that the rules of the road are optional - red lights, speeding, parking etc.
PS bev is being too forgiving. Its most likely he speeded up to beat the red light.
My mother taught me to look both ways before crossing the street, No matter what the signal says, trust your eyes. He was wrong if he ran a red light, you were wrong to walk in front of a moving vehicle.
Idiots, I think you shoul be able to take down someones licence number and give it to the Driving people (DSA is it?) so they can find who owns the car and retest them every time they get reported, that might stop them.
i always look before crossing even with a green man i also look both ways in a one way street as i have seen cars go the wrong way
i think when i run a red light.. i think quick!! before anyone see's me .
