Nokia N80 txt message problem?
I have a nokia n80, and now for some reason it hangs or freezes, if you like, whenever i send a txt message. I can't do anything untill it has sent. It now takes almost 1 min to send one. Any ideas on what the problem is?

N series nokias are really poor, they are running on a symbian operating system and so basically are not simple as normal phones, im not to sure about why it does this when sending but i find that the n series phones are genrally slow, like when loading photos, best way to speed it up is delete things u dont need like videos.or even better buy a samsung d900, that also has a 3megapixel camera
Nokia's usually crash like that to prevent the handset locking up software wise. They are actually designed to do that so the complex software like in a N80 doesn't get corupt.
Clean the contacts on your battery and sim to make sure their is no debri making things worse, like dust for example. Try ringing your network to see if their have been a fault with the N80 with SMS. If their is you would have to wait on nokia to develop new software to correct the issue. It sounds like a replacement will not solve it because it could be the same on all of them.
