what is the best way to connect my hd tv to my pc, i have a dvi socket on the pc. the tv has hdmi plug and normal monitor plug

HDMI would most likely offer the best result as I dont think HighDef signals can be sent down a normal monitor plug.

you can get a simple DVI to HDMI converter lead. But you should be aware the the DVI format does not carry any audio signal so you will need to think about where your sound is coming from, most PCs sound systems aren't that great
