My iPod keeps updating the same songs everytime I connect it?
Everytime I connect my iPod to my Laptop it keeps updating the same 200 songs ( I have about 3500 on the iPod).
The 200 songs exist in my itunes library and on my iPod, so why does the auto-update keep updating these songs every time I connect??
Answers:
ipods don't suck your songs are being changed which is causing them to have to be re updated on your ipod because it thinks its something new (the songs have been moved or edited)
ipods suck
the songs you don't want you have to click on the right side of the mouse and hit delete do this for all the songs you don't want or it will keep updating those songs into your ipod
Ipod sucks man. Thats one of the reasons why II sold mine. Its system is full of glitches and its annoying !! Sell your Ipod on E-Bay and get a Zen, it is way better;

You need to change the preferences on itunes. As it is itunes will sync with your ipod and therefore copy anything on itunes on to your ipod. When you connect your ipod you will se the summary page, click on the music tab and uncheck the 'Sync Music' box.
If you wish to add any songs to your ipod from itunes you will need to drag them from library to the music icon under devices.
