Would you say the price for new consoles and games are getting too high?
New Consoles Include:
PS3 - £350- £425
The Wii - £180
According to Sony, they said in a newspaper a while back that with all the new gadgets that the PS3 comes with, they say that their console is cheap. What would you say?
Also, i have heard that the Wii is about £65 cheaper in the USA. why are we paying for the same console but for another half of the USA price.
Sorry, i dont play the XBOX so i cant remeber the price for that but i do know that the games are £50. Whats your say?

Yes definatly and all these different ones coming out each year is stupid. When your a parent and your child says that he or she wants a xbox 360 or the new nintendo wiii or the sony play station 3 when you only bought them the one that was the best last year is a joke. Kids are being picked on for not having the upto date console but they are so expensive to be buying each year. They need to keep it a couple of years before they bring new ones out as it is too expensive..

My husband had as PS2 and an XBOX360 @ £279.00
The games are £49.99 when just released although tesco and asda charge £37.99 and you can get ex played ones in the shops. but the price of the PS3 is awfull
I think the prices are getting way too high. I know that it's more expensive for you than for us but I think our prices are too much too.

Games consoles do seem to be very expensive, but with more technology involved with the making of them ie hard drives and graphics etc prices are bound to rise.but that doesn't make it right.
Bill Gates actually lost £s (or $s in his case) for every Xbox that was /is sold. But that's probably just Mr Gates wanting to take over the console world as well as the pc world! We pay over the odds for nearly everything compared to USA, jeans, CDs,petrol (I heard that the new Scissor Sisters album was banned in music shops in the US because it was too expensive $15.99 now that converts to less than a tenner! Well cheap for a new album!) Sorry, strayed from the point then!
Games are well over-priced, but then again graphics are always improving and this is what you pay for. £50 for an Xbox 360 game is outrageous, how are parents meant to afford that sort of money especially when their child will probably get fed up with the game within a week?!
Instead of 'keeping up with the Jone's', I'll stick to my second hand Xbox and pre-owned games thank you!
