I want to buy a digital frame as christmas pressie and need to know the good brands to buy??

Apart from Philips dont know any of the other brands.incuding a brand called Perfection and Matrix !!

(gadget show review) Phillips came out as one of the best for picture resolution, clarity and viewing angle and out performed sony and other competitors.

Check the resolotion of each digital frame including the memory slots and colour potential of each frame.
I would suggest that that you stick with Philips, a well known name, and a nice frame, I've had one for about a year and a half now, loads of settings and a timer.

You can buy a TFT monitor and mount it yourself - its loads cheaper and you get a MUCH better quality display
