Lines on digital camera playback?
A Panasonic DMC-FX9 has developed a fault. There are lines across the picture but only after the photo is taken (not during the preview on the viewfinder). It has been reset with no difference. Is this the end? or does anyone have a solution?
Answers:
I think it's the end.
I had a similar issue with mine (it was a Fuji) and they couldn't fix it. They said that I ruined it by taking it to the beach and some sand ended up in it.
Good Luck anyways.
Well it sounds pretty fatal for the camera but you could still use the camera if you are prepared to do a bit of fixing in photo editor afterwards. You can probably use cut and paste or drag and drop to edit the photos and eliminate the lines, provided they are only horizontal or vertical and there are not many of them. If they are quite thin (single pixel) I doubt if you would notice in the final version. Having said that it sounds like a lot of trouble. Is it still in guarantee? Worth taking back if it is.
