Go to the above link register your number and this stop them. Go ex-directory as well.
go to the telephone preference society. easy find on google, enter your details and no more calls ever !
register with the telephone preference service, as soon as you get a cold caller tell them your registered with them and you want their name and number as you are going to report them. most of them hang up before you can finish!

Phone the operater, they should be able to give you a phone number to stop unwanted calls. write down the name of the companys calling you sometimes they are the same one under more than one name
JUST CHANGE UR NUMBER.
as above, also, when they ring you up tell them that you are registered with tps and ask them to remove you from their database. when i have time i also like to wind them up, and keep them on the phone as long as possible. this cheers me up as i know that they wont get any money from me.
if i dont have much time, i rant at them and tell tham that since i am not a lazy b******d if i wanted to buy something i would get off my a**e and go buy it. i dont sit at home with no food in and wait for someone to ring me up and offer to sell me some!!
what i couldnt believe was vodafone, i rang themup to ask a question and about 2 hours later got a phone call from a f******g computer asking me questions. annoying or what!!

oh boy i knwo what your going thru. AT&T gave me a number that some guy used for his business, but it wasnt registerd as a business line, so they didnt know. I was gettin landscaping inquiry calls for 2ys after having the numbers. It would only be a few calls a week but i got so fed up with explaining this is my number, there is no landscaping business etc etc, that I would go along with it and be like okay, what time would u like us to come out.ok.what exactly do u need done? then I would give them horrible prices. LOL I had to change the number, after 2 years, after I got about 40-50 hang ups a day on my answering machine.it was 2 creditors he owed. I would repeatedly tell them to stop calling, I tried everything to get them to stop including name calling and cussing etc.nothing worked.
I just changed the number.
Btw, I had caller ID before and cancelled it because they spoof the caller ID to say 1111111111111111 or 1234567890 etc. Privacy manager didnt help either cuz they woudl just ring thru with mr AAAAAAAA at 555-111-1111 showing.
