I have a lot of music on minidisk and want to put it on my ipod does anyone know how?
Answers:
By way of magical boxes that connect to USB ports
http://www.thinkgeek.com/electronics/mp3.
(though it says specifically that it works with casettes and turntables, with the right cable it'll do minidisks too)
This is all of course if your MiniDisk was anything like my NetMD that allowed me to transfer things to the player but not from it :-/
Actually I am goign to paste in what I answered to someone else recently! (same question) .. Good Luck though Have you got a way of getting the minidisk contents copied onto your pc? - if so it's probably in wav format and there are hundreds of wav to mp3 converters out there, I use white tiger.
If not you effectively need to either need to copy the music connecting the minidisk player to the machine thyen covert the wav files to .mp3 using a dowloadable like white tiger. Else you could borrow a stereo that will write to CDR and copy from Minidisk to CDR and import the musical CD into itunes in your usual way.
Despending on what else you need to buy to create this file . you might also see if the tracks you want are availoable from allofmp3.com as depending on how many you want, this might even be a cheaper option?
transfer it on to ur computer then plug ur ipod in as u wld when downloading songs and download them on to it
load the songs onto the computer. then plug your ipod into the computer and load them off of the computer to the ipod.
