What does the mains plug used in the USA look like?
I'm going 2 new york 2moro and need 2 no if any of they adaptors I hav 4 my MP3 player charger will work over there. What does the plug used look like? (does it hav a name)

This is a typical US mains plug male and female.

The plug is very small compared to ours and has two flat prongs. You can get one in Boots or any good electrical small appliances store.
Get a travel adaptor from Boots.
The US plugs have two flat blade-like inserts in parallel, and occasionally the same flat blades but with a round pin, similar arrangement to ours.
When i went to England (from the US) , the advice i got was to wait, and buy the adapter at Heathrow airport, so i could make sure if fit and i could test it at the store that sold it to me. And so i could get my money back instantly if it didn't work.
You might want to wait and check out, and buy an adapter if yours don't work in NY for the same reason.
