can someone tell me the way to install application or software in mobile phones so that i can use it as like my desktop or laptop. forexample can i install jet audio or other smart media player which supports various media files?

Get the .sis version of the softwares, copy it into the phone and install from it.
load the applications onto a memory card and open them from the phone menu, try 'the zedge' for good downloads.. virus scan everything before using.
