Vax Carpet Cleaner..?

Here's the story.

I bought a Vax carpet cleaner in April 2006 as I have a large dog who comes in from the garden and gets muck everywhere on the carpets.

Two weeks after purchasing the same, I stupidly put very hot water in the clean tank which you use to wash the carpets and it kind of melted a little out of shape and became inoperative.

I therefore contacted Vax to order a new part which cost £15.00 but they still have not sent it me out.

They said at the time of ordering that it would take six to eight weeks.

I called at the beginning of June 2006 as it still had not arrived and they told me mid-June to end of June 2006.

I have called again this morning and now they are saying first week in August.

Should i make a complaint as it has been nearly thirteen weeks now and my carpets are looking a right state.

Anyone have any idea how i could go about it?
