Ipod doesn't synchronize?
I just downloaded the latest version of Itunes but when I plug in my ipod the PC doesn't register anything, and it doesn't show up in itunes. Checked USB which is fine. any ideas?

Have you got the origional CD that came with the iPOD?
as when you install it it askes for the serial number of the ipod, if your computer and itunes does not know this information it will not sync with the pc.
if any other users are logged into your computer that could be the problem . I have had that happen before.
If no joy ask on the website.. maybe reinstall your ipod.. but make sure you keep your music in manual or you will lose it all..

Remove the new version of Itunes and re-load the old version. You may have to do a reset of the Ipod.
