I was wondering how much difference there is in a TV with 3000:1 contrast ratio and one with 1000:1 contrast?
I'm getting a HDTV mainly for my 360 but I'm looking at a 27" HDTV with 3000:1 contrast ratio and a 32" with 1000:1 contrast ratio, and I was wondering how much of a difference there would be between these T.V's.
Answers:
different manufacturers use different ways of working this out, so they're not always directly comparable.
For example, 2 TVs have exactly the same contrast, but one company says there's 3000 units of measurement between white and black, and the other says there's 1000 units.
Best idea would be to read reviews of the models, or go and test them in the shop with a 360 or your favourite DVD.
2000 silly !
dunno
I would go with the 27". Even though it is 5 inches smaller the contrast is three times as high. But look at the prices first! You may be able to score a good TV for a good price .
