Is there ANY possible way to receive SATELLITE T.V. without an EXTERNAL dish ? (U.K. based).?

[Our landlords] will not allow satellite dishes to be attached to the walls of the building, consequently ; we are unable to receive satellite T.V. The obvious answer might be to "move somewhere else" ; however, for various reasons, this isn't an option at present. [We] would really like to know if there is (or isn't) any possible alternative(s). SERIOUS answers from engineers or others "in the know" would be appreciated [Thank You].

Answers:
No. there is no way to receive satellite TV without a satellite dish. And this dish needs to have a clear view of the sky where the satellite is located (in your case, the southern sky). This would have to be outside, unless you want to put the dish inside a window, or on a balcony, hidden from passers-by.

The reason you need a dish is that you need to have a certain amount of antenna 'gain' to receive the very weak signals from the satellite. This gain is essentially a measure of the antenna signal gathering power. Satellite dish antennas are designed to focus on a relatively small spot on the sky, which is the way they achieve high gain where it's needed (kind of like a flashlight ('torch' for you brits) has high gain in the direction you point it, but low gain everywhere else).

I don't know about other options in your area, but it sounds like almost all will involve an antenna of some sort. I would go ahead and contact the satellite TV rep and see if they have any ideas for dish placement. They may have some inventive solutions.
You could try BBC digital but it would mean a new tv, with the programs automatically on.
jean, when I lived in Germany there were many people who had their satellite dishes on mobile stations so that they could move them as necessary. Now this is assuming that you have a terrace or back yard in which to park the station..but it could be done. Otherwise.well
We have NTL it may not be the same as you want but it's still better than the basic freeveiw or 5 channels. You'd just need it to get attached to the ariel
GET CABLE IT DONES WHAT IS SAYS ON THE TIN
You definitely need an external dish. Perhaps a mobile one like campers use?
Patio based concrete lawn ornament (bird bath) with some creative bolt on strapping as an art piece – threaten to sue for discrimination if they tell you to take it down.

Suction cupped to a window with a glass mover handle and a safety rope tied off inside. Also a good place to hang a sign saying “up yours micro bureaucrat!”
why dont you get a mini dish put up when the landlord is out.surely he cant be that petty, not to let you put up a dish. and couldn't you put it in the loft somewhere?? and regarding freeview.. tell your landlord to put a new ariel in as your reception is rubbish.. and then buy a freeview box.
You can get an internal dish, but it needs to be close to a window, and have an unimpaired line of access to the satellite position. Look at where neighbouring dishes are directed, as a guide. If you think it is possible, then contact a satellite specialist shop, for guidance.
cable t.v, try NTL
If you can't fix to the wall put it on a post fixed in the ground (that's if the cable run from the dish to your receiver is easy and that you have line of sight to the satellite)
when you say satellite tv i assume you mean sky there is a new gaget on the market and as been designed for this reason it retails at 165 uk pounds its approx 30 inches long 4 inches in diameter and is installed on your aerial pole ( subject to line of sight) more detailsat mrpgill@yahoo.co.uk
my son had the same problem with his landlords a housing assosiation the only thing he could do was get one of them free view boxs that you can pay £8 a month to upgrade giving him 60 channels hope this helps good luck
I lived in germany for three years and was on a military base who also would not allow dishes to be mounted on the building, however the way i got around it was to put the dish on a pole and mount it in the garden..no complaints from housing and it did the job!!
