Flash-drive MP3 question(s).?
I need a flash-drive MP3 player mainly for use in the gym but I'd also like to be able to play the music through a sound system.I was thinking of the Creative Zen V. 3 questions:
1. Can I play a flash-drive player through any sound system or just a computer? It looks to me as though Creative's docking station is for their Hard Drive players.
2. The difference between the Zen V and Zen V Plus is that the second plays video clips. Sounds a nice extra but what would I actually use it for??
3. Will it definitely work with ITunes on my Mac (I also have a PC but I will need to download my home studio stuff from Itunes). I ruled out the ipod Nano because there's no radio for more money.
Sorry, you don't have to answer all the above - just what you know about. Thanks

Question 1. You can play through any system with an AUX or Line In jack with an inexpensive patch cord connected to any player with a headphone jack. Question 2: If you don't need/want video then don't pay extra for video playback. Question 3: If you WANT/Need ITunes as your music software, go with IPod. ITunes can be expensive if you buy a lot of music. The majority of other brands are geared mostly for WMA (Windows Media Audio) and MP3 music files, which are not supported by the ITunes music store. ITunes will import your music CDs and MP3 files but doesn't handle "protected" WMA files. Most other non-Apple players now support Microsoft "plays for sure" WMA downloads and many also support "subscription" downloads from music services like Napster, Yahoo! Unlimited music, and Rhapsody. Unfortunately, most WMA/MP3 playes don't play Apple ITunes AAC music tracks. With a subscription service like Napster, you can download songs to your computer and transfer them to a compatible MP3/WMA player without buying each track. You must buy the tracks if you want to burn them to a CD however. ITunes is a good music store but you are limited to hearing 30 second samples or buying the tracks or albums you want to hear.

i you need a flash mp3 player then go with creative if you dont want something huge get a muvo not a zen. muvo are smaller usualy cap out at around 512 meg but are strait up usb no cors or anything to get on you computer. shouldnt work with itunes because itunes convetrs to the goofy ipod format and only ipod uses that format. my friend had some computer speakers and a lil cord thing that attatched my old zen nano to his speakers and played fine (the cord was like a 2 sided headphone jack) zen v is a good choice tho. doesnt use itunes and has nice storage
