Does anyone know why my ipod library wont add songs?

I just tried to add songs to my ipod, and they wont show up in my library, they are mp3 format like every other song on my ipod. Just wondering why this doesnt work..

you must have deleted a playlist when you deleted from your library. Go to settings and select playlist. Then select playlist
have you checked to see if your memory is full? if it is, then you have your answer, if not, then we're probably not the people to be asking about this
