Just got plasma tv when i watch it it has lots of fine lines on screen is this normal?

No check the television settings. You should have a better picture than on a regular tv. Also is it a high definition tv and receiver?

yes it is, and it's not covered by warranty. plasma TV have the image burnt into the plasma molecules. if you watch a channel long enough, the TV will hold some of that channel in it's picture. it sucks
I just hope your warranty isn't up. That sounds fishy.

What you want is a wallpaper scrapper and some car brake fluid . Now tip the liquid on your screen and proceed to scrape hard for only a couple of days. This should remove the clingfilm apparently still left on the TV.
The plasma TV picture is NOT as good as CRT.
They are just bigger.
The plasma picture is made up of "lots of fine lines".
If you can see them, there are three reasons:
1) You are sitting too close, as there is a minimum viewing distance (relative to the screen size) for a plasma, for you to not be able to see these lines.
2) You have bought a too big a size of screen for your room.
3) You have bought a cheap plasma.
Plasma's burn out just like a light bulb, eventually, they work for a certain amount of hours, 10-20k. Also, they can burn a ghost image onto the screen if they are left on showing a still or similar image for too long.
A 32" CRT for £150 is perfectly acceptable for viewing TV.
I cannot understand why people sacrifice quality for quantity.
Plasma is really the "new kings clothes" hyped by the manufacturers !
Go back the shop you had it from and get yourself an hd ready LCD,no screen burn or any problems like you get with a plasma,i got rid of mine and had a sony bravia,a lot better,and cheaper to run on electric.

check your connection are tight
It's definitely signal loss, poor quality cable or poor connections, I have seen this many times, make sure you are on the correct signal type PAL-1 for UK
