It's called a wattmeter.
What you are requiring is an ammeter, but I don't think there is a type available that you can simply plug into.

This product would have to be properly connected by a competent electrician.

You can work out the power consumption by reading the label on the item you need to know the power consumption of.

For example if you have a heater rated at 1kw then this will have a power consumption of 1kw per hour, and if your electricity meter rating is 6.5p per kw/hr then the running cost of the heater will be 6.5p per hour, or a 2kw heater would cost 13p per hour and so on.
