I ended a call on my mobile phone earlier today and put it back in my pocket locked. I took it out again 10 minutes later, and the screen said 'Emergency', and I could hear a voice. I hung up quickly in surprise and checked my 'Dialled Numbers ' list to find that I must have dialled 08 while the phone was in my pocket! I tried dialing 08 again and was connected to an Emergency service somewhere, I asked what it was and the nippy operator told me to cancell the call immediately. I never knew that there was an 08 emergency number, or that you could cal it with the handset locked. Anyone have any ideas on this??

good one. i will remember this emergency number when i needed help so much. but how can i find them to talk to them personally rather than just dial the number and not able to speak to the phone operator? i am tired with this. i need to find them urgently. i also wish to send some greetings to them. time is running out.

it only let's u call 999/911/112 e.t.c if ur fone is locked and unlocked. 08 is 4 a helicopter/rock climbing and so on.
