How do I find out whose calling me?
I receive several calls throughout the day on my home phone land line, on answering the caller hangs up.
I used BTs 1471 to find out who called me (expecting the caller's number to be withheld), however the number is given as 02073954698.
I've tried calling this number with no response, how do I track this number (to see whether it is a legitimate business, call centre, e.t.c.?)
Alternatively how do I block this number from calling me again?

Get in touch with bt and ask for for the number to be blocked , I would also advise you to ask bt to put a scan on what they call quiet numbers they then can stop with held numbers from calling you aswell .
caller ID if you want to block a number call your phone company provider they will
if it is a telemarketer calling tell them to take you off there list
If it's a billcollector your SOFL change your number
Google or yahoo the number. Ask yourphone provider to put an anonymous caller rejection on your phone.

sorry. the only thing that i can think of is ask the cops
try reverse lookup .
how about asking the phone companey.
Call your local phone company and report it. If the caller keeps hanging up when you answer it is abusive harassment and can be reported to the police.

As you have the number ring BTs nuisance-call advisers on 0800 661 441 they wil be able to advise you oh and they are open 24hrs a day 7 days a week
