Cansum one name sum shops in orlanda to buy a cam corder while om on holiday?
Answers:
Whilst it may be cheaper you have to bare in mind several potential problems.
1. If your camcorder develops a fault you may not be able to get it repaired on the warranty provided except by shipping it back to the states.
2. The US use a different TV format - NTSC instead of PAL which is used in the UK. Whilst most modern TV's can cope with this you should check yours is compatible. This different TV format may also cause problems when you try to transfer your recodings to video or DVD.
3. The US also uses different voltage to the UK. Whilst most camcorders can handle the difference you will need to purchase a power lead or adapter so that you can charge the battery in the UK.
4. You will probably need to declare the camcorder at customs and may have to pay taxes when bringing the camcorder into the UK.
Personally you would be better searching the internet using any of the price comparison sites to get yourself a UK spec camcorder at a bargain price.
There are any number of camera shops on international drive. We bought ours there, some place close enough to the water park. Be wary, though, the sales assistants are incredibly pushy. And don't fall for their crap about buying protective lenses etc, you'll get them much cheaper somewhere else.
