you have to contact your network and ask them to increase the credit limit.
maybe you should contact your service provider and ask for what new tariffs they have going , i find if you threaten to leave they find a better offer for you :)
You have a limit you can run up, it's all to do with your credit score when you took out the contract. unless you ask, it'll never be increased.
A similar thing happened to me and I was told that it was a security measure against fraud.
The telephone company know your calling history and if it suddenly peaks (it sounds like it did in your case like mine), they bar the phone from outgoing calls until they verify that you still have the phone.
I seem to remember paying something over the phone to them so I could up my limit and still use the phone whilst I was abroad.
if you arn't with 02, then move to them.. they are the best provider. there are set limits which you are allowed to go upto on most phone providers.. i pay £12 per month, and get 500 minutes+500 free texts a month.. also all calls between 1900&0700 are free to landlines.. also, all weekend free calls between 1900 friday till monday 0700.plus, you get a 02 treat quite often which is great. much more like it..
