I have a combined tv/dvd player which no longer works. i need to remove a dvd inside it -any ideas how i can?

Answers:
use a hammer---
smash to get insdie or there should be a way to get tray out.
open it up with a screw driver then slow push out the dvd draw
If it ewon't eject with the power plugged in and on, then look for a tiny hole by the DVD tray. If there is one, stick a bent paper clip in it to manually eject the disk. If there isn't one, I'm sorry, can't help.
Well basically if the TV now dead just break it down until you can remove the dvd, just be a bit careful & patient and you will get the dvd out eventually
Check underneath. There is sometimes a manual release hole where you can insert a screwdriver an release the drawer.
Make sure it is unpluged.
Also check the instructions in troubleshooting it might tell you.
Sure. Near the slot where the DVD goes in, look for a small round hole -- it's tiny, but it will be there. It's about the size of the wire that's used to make a paper clip. Once you find it, un-bend a paper clip so you have about 1 1/2" of straight wire, then insert it into the hole gently -- when it stops, press a little harder, and you'll open the latch for the DVD tray and the tray will pop out just a little bit. At that point you can pull the tray the rest of the way open, and retrieve your DVD. All CD/DVD drives have the little release slot.
Try and get the top off and see if you can take a part the area the dvd is in.

Perhaps take it to a tv repair shop.where you would rent one from and they should be able to help.

good luck
if you are sure it is complety broke and your going to tip it what i would do is get something to pry the opening of the dvd cover open and with enough force you should be able to open it but you probaly should wear google best of luck
search carefully if u can find a samll hole around the player. If it has then insert niddle into the hole and press softly. the dvd suppose to come out.

Well.maybe every DVD player doesn't have it. BUT all DVD ROM has it.. I mean the dvd drive that we use in our PC.
get a screw driver and take it apart. I've had to do this many times, and it's not as hard as it sounds
Well if it is under its one year guarantee and u still have receipt tak eit to the shop u bought it in and they should send it off to repair / or someone who can take it out. ring shop first
you can either a) take it apart and remove the disk with a chance of the machine never working again or b) take it to a tv repair person
The paper-clip-in-the-little-hole thing works, if there is one. I've taken a dvd player apart, and fixed a broken tray before. I've never taken a tv apart though, and would think it's more dangerous because a tv can carry more electricity.
