you can't but if someone is ringing you ex directory you can set up your phone not to receive anonymous phone calls ,anyone who is ex directory has to put 1470 in front of their number to ring you
there are two types of EX D that BT offer. One is absolutley no giving out of information. so you've blown it. nahda no way no how. ( this is the most common )
There is an option that the customer can allow BT to contact them if it classed as an emergency on your behalf and ask if they wish the number to be given. A supervisor has to to it. if this isn't on the record you've blown it.

if you go to the website..www.anywho.com go all the way to the bottom and click on help..there are sub-menus.that will give you options.for list your number.and also un-list your number.they will send you an email.and U gotta click on the link to make it work..
