I'm trying to transfer part of my vinyl collection to my PC. I'm struggling; help or guidance please.?

I'm using a turntable with a pre-amplifier and an ADS device which is connected to my Medion computer via the red & white audio jacks on the front media panel. I am not able to register any signal onto the computer.

Answers:

have you tried cool edit pro?
You've checked all the sound settings in Control Pannel I assume? I had a problem similar to that and realised the settings were on mute or turned down.
Check that 'line in' is not muted in your sound mixer (bottom right of screen next to the clock).

If not, try connecting a 3.5mm jack from your pre-amp to the actual line in socket on the soundcard instead of the front panel connectors.
