Fabulous British people - what brand of phone do you have and what made you choose it?

i don't mean Orange, Vodafone etc i mean Nokia, Motorola, Siemens etc. if you can tell me what phone it is and why you chose it it would help me out a lot! thanks

i know ive asked this before but just needed some more answers, so thank you those who answered before still!

Answers:
Samsung because it was right for me with the features it has.

Just know what you want your phone to do, if you want a phone that does everything then expect to pay for it, but if you want one for just calls then buy one that just does calls.

Go to a shop and get the bumpf and then decide for yourself.
i have a siemens coz it was cheap and i was skint
SPV M200 on Orange.

basically Windows Pocket PC with a phone built in. Touch screen, Slide down querty keypad, camera, video although not fantastic quality) Shed loads of storage space, and easy to use with PC and active sync.
I have a motorola V600 i chose it becase it has a bulit in camera poolyphonic ringtones and the abilty to down load real tones as well. and a wap
Sony Ericsson K800i on 3. I bought it because of the 3.2 mega camera
nokia cuz its really really user friendly and well i mean
nokia is THE brand.
i got the 3250 the design is awsum and i love it..
The LG Chocolate. I chose it at the time cause it was new out and i got it free on the contract i took out. Its very slim and stylish!!
I have got a Samsung E350E, my boyfriend got it me last christmas and its still going strong.
Motorola slvr got as the shop had a get this contract and get a free psp giga pack
I own a V3 Motorola.

It was offered free with my contract. I admit, the only reason I chose that particular model was because of the colour (the bright pink one).

As far as phones go, I really don't have any issues with it. I know a lot of people say it is really fragile, but mine has put up with plenty of abuse and is still going strong. The camera is ok and the battery lasts well, and of course it makes and receives calls - which is what a phone is supposed to do.
..Nokia 6230i, because it does everything I need it to do.
i have a Motorola v3i, i chose it because i like how slim it is and i like the keypad.
Motorola v220, i didn't choose it though, my dad bought it for himself and i kind of exchanged my older crappier phone with his, good ole dad. I need a new one though, it keeps turning itself off.the swine!
I have a LG U880, I chose it because it looks nice, it has a good camera, bluetooth, and accepts transflash memeory cards up to 1gb.

It also come with leads and software to connect it to pc.

OH yeah and heres a tip for other LG u880 users.. heres a temporary unlock solution for it

1. Remove 3 Sim Card
2. Put in another network sim card
3. when phone starts, it will say USIM Locked (but not for long)
4. type 142358#*# (It wont show on display as you type it.)
5. Your phone will restart and accept new sim card until you turn it off again!

Tada. magic, i love it.!
I've a Nokia 'cos I've always had this brand and I can't be bothered to learn how to use a different one! Think I got that brand originally because I borrowed someone's to see if I liked it and got used to it.
I have a Samsung E370,the reason for getting it is that the price was very good for the amount of features on it.
Nokia, everytime.

Had a samsung for about a month, then when back to Nokia.
Can't beat them, they're simple to use, have everything I need, nothing too fancy pants and i can cover the covers in crystals and change them to co ordinate!! x

Loverlee! x
Hi i recently got a samsung flip and i droped it the other day and about half hour after it broke. the screen is just white! So i got my self a nokia.. They seem to be the best phones hard wearing.. and pretty simple to use. good luck
Nokia 5140i
I got this one because I needed a tough phone that is water resistant and can be dropped from a great height without breaking
Nokias are very easy to use, and as long as it does text and takes reasonable photos it is all I need. The compass and sound level meter have also come in useful in my job supervising construction projects. I can use it to access email and the internet when necessary
Motorola V3-X because i was made a mugged off, by phones4you.
£50.00 per month and then £10.00 insurance.
I barely use it.
Sony Ericsson for me cos it has bluetooth, camera, looks smart and it works when I go to USA (tri-band). My network is T-Mobile (part of Deutsche Telecom) and they are great - damn German efficiency!!
I have a samsung- the one with the touch sensitive screen. i chose it because its cool!
a Sony Ericson's k700i with camera and video phone.
what made me choose it was my dad he bought it and then gave it me.
(silver)
QTEK 8200 - from Vodafone, but also available on O2 (XDA II?) & Orange (SPV).
cost: foc with a £20 per month contract

for:
small, slim, lightweight, interfaces with Outlook so contacts, emails (emails can be downloaded in outlook & read on phone later) etc, synchronised, can send MMS & SMS from PC via phone, bluetooth enabled,
comes with stereo headphones & microphone/handsfree in one unit - can listen to MP3's (but it does can your battery)
include USB cable - can recharge phone using the right style USB cable ideal if you need to top thre battery at work or elsewhere
its either tri or quad band (i forget works interantionally [inc usa, carribbean, canada])
against:
locks you into a microsoft OS if you want the synchornisation
takes a long time to wake up from power off
resets itsefl if you turn the phone off or let the battery drain (so any sound settingfs are overwritten (its not too much of a problem unless you are really keen on having a different tone for different numbers or use a polyphonic ringtone in place ofd the standard) its actaully an advantage in many ways - if you get a virus or problem the phone auto resets.
battery life (approx 3..4 days on standby, 3..4 hours talk)
if you leave it connected to the PC, but the PC is turned off there is a parasitic drain which drains the battery. buttons a bit small, scroll/ nav button fiddly

summary
very very impressed with it (its my second MS phone the fiorst one was a SPV200 which was changed purely because it was out of contract.)
it does what I want with the minimum of fuss. it isnt a status symbol or a toy its a hard working tool
I dont want / use the bells and whistles (eg Java games, camera, video recording, linking photos to callers, using polyphionc ringtones).
I've had all sorts of phones. Personally I'm now a fan of Windows Mobile based phones. I have a QTek 8500 I like the fact that it syncs with my PC seamlessly, looks great. And because very few people have seen a Windows mobile phone they have no idea how to use it so they keep their grubby mits off!!

If I didn't have one of those then I'd have a Sony Ericsson K800i. Possibly the best phone out at the moment in my eyes.

Hope that's of use!
Sony Ericsson K800i. The camera is amazing and the MP3 player is good too.
Nokia 6230
1. Coz its Nokia
2. Coz its got great features
3. I have had for years (3 years) - So itl last longer
4. Reliable & Great speaker
4. Has space for a memory card to listen to your tracks
5. Its just a great legendary phone.

However Id advise you to invest in the latest model that is the one up from the 6230 which is the 6233

Which boasts all the above with more
I got an LG U880 because it was free with a contract from the shitty mobs.com, Do not take a contract with them what ever you do. I love nokias tho as they are allso simple to use
i have a Sony Ericsson K800i, this is the best phone i have ever had. Does everything, the camera is great 3.2 takes great photos just like a camera, got this on an 02 contract, received for nothing. Has Bluetooth, infa red, radio, and comes with many accessories. You can buy a card to fit in to download themes, music etc. I use a company called Zedge for this all you do is register with them and they send you a password. You download to your computer what you want, and if you have a buetoothe dongle attached to your computer turn it on and on your phone and you can transfer everything you require to the mobile for free.
