Can you help me with downloading movies to my Ipod 30gb?

I'm having trouble downloading films etc to my ipod. I downloaded the software to turn my video files to mp4 clips, and still no luck. Downloaded the latest version of itunes as well and no difference. I live in Ireland and the ipod was bought from America. Would that have anyting to do with it? It is downloading all the music and podcasts. Why not the vids?

Please someone help me with any useful info. Going a bit mad!!

When downloading movies onto your computer, you will need the following. AnyDVD to remove layer break and other items, then run it through Video Vault to convert it to MP4 and create one file so that the movie plays continuously. Video Vault offers a full two week trial. If you have the time, you can get some movies on your iPod before the offer expires. After that it is $29.99 USD. It CAN be done. Good luck

Unless the videos/films were bought from iTunes, you can't put them onto your iPod.
The iPod being from America could be a reason, but it most likely is not. Also, your converting program may not be very good.

That is a good program for converting if you have a Mac. A windows version is being created still.
after the movie is in an mp4 format, open up itunes and dragg the movie into the itunes first. after the movie is in your itunes, dragg that movie from itunes into your ipod. you can put any movie on your idpod as long as it is in the right format. I have over 50 on my 80 gig + over 100 music videos. agian. the movie has to be in itunes first and from there you can drag it into your ipod.
