How good is the new Panasonic SLR compared to the Nikon 80?

Based on the previews, I think the Nikon looks better.
* The larger sensor should give you better control over depth of field (1.5 crop factor vs. 2)
* More megapixels
* Presumably a larger viewfinder
* A vast selection of lenses for every budget.
The Panasonic has some nice features like dust removal, but that doesn't tip the scale in their favor.
I'd wait for the in-depth reviews at Steve's Digicams or DPReview.

Nikon
The 80-200/2.8 is one of the joys of the Nikon system and is mandatory for any serious user. It is almost as sharp and contrasty as the Nikon prime lenses in the 80-200 range. The constant aperture makes it convenient to use with studio strobes. This is a review of the older one-touch version of the lens. I would also choose the Nikon because so many lenses/accessories are available. I'm sure that the Panasonic has a mount that allows other lenses to be used but, will they be 100% compatible?
If you are anywhere in the world w/ a Nikon and need parts/accessories it's hardly ever a problem.
