A good meal for English pensioners holidaying in Scotland?

Peace and plenty; and no killing;
Beef at a groat, and meat at a shilling.
Whisky for nothing, beer at the same.
A bonnie wee wife; and a cosy wee hame.

Whatever you choose don't go for the haggis. Drink the Scotch instead.

The place in Fife to eat is the Peat Inn (www.thepeatinn.co.uk) which is in Cupar 6 miles from St. Andrews which uses fresh local produce in many of its dishes.
Another good restaurant is the Dolls House in St. Andrews (www.dolls-house.co.uk).
im making lots of money doing offers here http://www.cashcrate.com/index.php?ref=4.
A good old English Breakfast. or Good old Fish & Chips.
mince and tatties!!
A Scottish Breakfast.

Square sausages, fried eggs, beans, potato scones, bacon, Fried Bread, mushrooms, tomato's, Hash browns!!

yummy.

However eat to much of it and it's like heart attack on a plate!
There was me thinking Hash browns were an a
American invention.
you can probably buy noodles in a cup at a market, that's pretty cheap and you'd just need access to hot water, or water and kettle or microwave
stay at a hostel and cook your own meal in a shared kitchen, or contribute to a shared meal at a hostel by bringing something from a market
fruit from the market
chips from a wagon
oatmeal with salt
Haggis, neeps and tatties.

Look up a Scottish Dictionary if you need a translation of the above.
Stovies or lorne sausage with onion gravy!

take their own food, there are only good soups in Scotland, not any herbs spices or interesting food. but good soups, if these people are pensioners, they proberbly enjoy bland food. So. plenty of pub grub, no garlic, pasties pies, fish chips.that sort of thing. They will love it.
