Cafe en seine?
Answers:
Yes, there is a Cafe en Seine in Dublin. It´s located on 40 Dawson Street, in Dublin 2, Tel : +353 (0) 1 6774369.
It´s a beautiful cafe with a decadent art deco theme. The bar's interior design features a Louis XIVth bust, a French Hotel lift, and a beautiful glass atrium with 40ft trees.
Cafe en Seine has three floors each with a bar and the first floor features a grand piano. The walls are decorated with murals and large mirrors and brass chandeliers hang from the ceiling. The ambience and style of the bar is of a continental style café, and is meant to transport you back to the heady days of early 19th century Paris.
Cafe en Seine operates as a café by day and a pub by night. You can have lunch, but I am not impressed by their selections of wraps, salads and sandwiches. However, you can have some pub food in teh evening, which is quite nice and not too expensive. Expect to pay above avarage for your drinks though.
It is a very stylish, trendy bar at night, nice to have a drink or two with friends. On Friday and Saturday night, Cafe en Seine has DJs , on Sunday, there is Jazz Brunch. On Monday night, Cafe en Seine hosts a Big Band Swing Night.
It is definately worth to have a drink in Cafe en Seine, because it´s a beautiful cafe and the interior is great, but as it is one of the trendiest cafe´s/bars in Dublin at the moment, it is quite expensive. I hope this is what you wanted to know, have fun at Cafe en Seine!
