Why do cafe's use crappy tesco value stuff?

I kno its cheap but it taste crap why dont they use something nicer

Answers:
Be greatfull they're using Texco Value stuff. normally the produce used by smaller cafe's is bought in bulk, and quite possibly of even lower quality.
Would you be willing to pay the (rather noticable) difference in price if they were using Marks & Spencers ingredients? (and trust me, it would be a huge difference! in price that is!!)
"It's not your ingredients, its how you convince the customer that its the best **** they've ever eaten that counts!"
and why when you do opt for nicer it costs a fortune
because they want you to pay more while they are making a fortune and they get that stuff for about 5 cents a Kilo!
because of profits also a friend of mine ran a cafe he told me more profit in tea 1 tea bag, multiplied, say example £1 a cup ?.
in london and islington more cafes take aways than pubsi count about 50-60.
as a good chef, no matter how crap is that, chef will modified it to be a good stuff. one more thing is the cafe chef wanna save more cost on cheap n crap stuff.
I suggest you pay a visit to Costa, Starbuck .etc
They are too cheap or too dumb to bulk buy the rubbish sold in Lidl, Aldi, Makro or Costco. Strongly suggest if possible to bring your lunch from home. You will save yourself a case of gut-rot and some money!
I had the misfortune of working at Lild when I was a student and you wouldnt believe how many cafe owners used to buy their stock there. Cheapos!
Because the general public by nature are cheap, and want a breakfast for about £3. The Cafes need to make money, and without the cheap supplies prices would increase, customers would decrease and the cafe close. Whilst the constituents of a £3 breakfast may only cost 30pence or so, they have to pay £000's to rent there premises, utilities, staff etc
Hi!

I don't know about Tesco, but recently on a visit to the Eden Centre in Cornwall, their filter coffee machine was out of order.

They told us that it would be instant coffee, was that ok? We asked them what they would be charging, and they told us the price would be the same as filtered coffee.

Needless to say, we walked away!
so that they can make maximum profit.

you would too.

There are plenty cafes that don't. Customers have the option of choosing where they go. If you don't like it, take your custom elsewhere. Alternatively, make suggestions to the owners - small shopkeepers like feedback and will make changes if financially feasible.
becuase if they used anything different they will lose money
In a word. Profit.
