How can anyone be British?
Answers:
Have a Welsh mother, an Irish father. Scottish grandmother and an English grandmother. You can be English, Irish, Scottish or Welsh. Unfortunately your not allowed to be proud of it for fear of being racist. Apparently this only happens here.
I prefer the term English, being that I am from England.

Culturally we are Scottish, English, Welsh and Irish (the north only here), but politically we are all thrown together and termed British.
We have to put up with being called British by those who don't know that Britain is made of several countries. I am English, not British. Saying that, I suppose you could say it is the same as if you are French/German/Spanish, etc. and you are also European.
