What is the best Indian restaurant in London that is reasonably priced?
Answers:
Absolutely without a doubt Chennai Dosa. There is one in Mile End and one in Croydon that I know of. The place is full of Indians so that gives you a clue as to the authenticity of the food

Forget Brick Lane! Quality has gone downhill there. For good and cheap Indian restaurants (like Brick Lane used to be) go to Tooting.
Drummond street (near Euston station) offers several places serving cheap and delicious Indian vegatarian food.
Its got to be Tayyab!!
For around £10 you will have fabulous, authentic, great quality food, but be warned the place is heaving all the time with repeat and new customers, although it is totally worth the wait..
Name: New Tayyab
Address: 83 Fieldgate Street
Phone: 020 7247 9543
there is one at Belsize park, near the tube station
it is Superb --- but not necessarily cheap
if you do go there ,you will have an excellent meal to remember
>^,,^<
I would recomend the Zaika Resturnat. Wide range of cusine from diverse traditional classics to unique dishes with a twist.
Southall, OMG Try any on the main road yum cheap as chips to
Kishmish close to Fulham Broadway is great!
Hot Stuff in Vauxhall is absolutely brilliant. I'm too lazy to look for the link but you can google it. It is incredibly cheap - believe me it is hard to spend more than a tenner - and that includes their incredible fruit juices. Its quite small but the atmosphere is great and the owners are really friendly. They serve Gujarati food by the way - authentic Gujarati food - just like Ba's (mum's) cooking :)
It is advisable to book a table in advance.
You really need to try:
Karnaphuli Restaurant
20 Stoke Newington Church Street
London

The best curry in london has to be in Tottenham court rd. The restaurant is called 'Lal Quila'. They have a different approach to their dishes there. You can have your standard curries or go for the unique curries they do there. Its a very good experienece.
Check out the Mirsch Masala in Tooting for the best curry.

Hongcong freds, order, whoflungdat
Curries R' Us. I know the chef there, Geoffrey Patel. He makes a mean vindaloo, 50p a mug
Balti Hut, in Rayners Lane (Harrow). It sounds a bit naff, looks like a 70s greasy spoon, and is unlicensed, but the food is absolutely superb and very inexpensive - excellent value for money.
Muhib on Brick Lane is a personal fav of mine. Inexpensive, fabulous food - bring your own drink so not too much expense there if you fancy a bottle or two with your curry.
I would highly recommend Tayyabs in Whitechapel. Fantastically priced and you get so much food. Everything is grilled behinda counter and you can see everything. Make sure to go with a group of friends so that you can order a wide variety and share - it's the best way to do it so that eveybody gets to taste everything.
If you're after a takeaway, try Bengal Village in Richmond - the jalfrezis are second to none.
Gosh girl, London's a big place!
But I know an exquisit place by Ravenscourt Park on Kings Street
Ive forgotten the name but it really is a nice place, next to

Jashans on Turnpike Lane is superb, but eat loads of starters!!
They're much better than the mains!
Tandori Garden in Fulham. Its half price and tastes amazing! I managed to have a meal for 2 with drinks and it only cost £15! Im getting hungry
I have to second Tayyab, take the tube to Whitechapel on the opposite side of the street, heading towards Brick Lane, just past the hospital if I remember correctly. Simply outstanding!
