I want a Friday night out in london with friends for christmas. Ideally a meal and something else. Ideas?
We are looking for something fun and not too expensive, looking for ideas for a relaxing fun christmas get together (alcohol compulsory)

Where ever you go book it two weeks ago as everything will probably be booked up now
TIGER TIGER IS GOOD FOR A NIGHT OUT AND HAS A RESTAURANT WHICH CATERS FOR XMAS
I would suggest trying somewhere less touristy - better food and generally cheaper. In central London why not try China Town - lots of restaurants to choose from - they won't be booked up and you can choose budget or more expensive. On the budget end I like Canton's and on the more expensive side I like Kowloon.
From there you could try to secure tickets for the iceskating at Somerset house.
You might also want to check out 'Baltic' - they serve Icelandic/swedish food with flavoured aquavit (vodka) - haven't been yet but on my 'want to try list'.
Or hit Brick lane - good curries that won't break the bank followed by a night drinking and dancing at any of the grea bars/clubs in the area.
there is a place opening just for xmas - The reindeer, apparantly it is gonna be an xmas forest in a warehouse, run by the people who own Bistrotheque.
if you have a look on lastminute.com website, they do dinner & show deals, so youcan go for a nice meal & then onto the theartre afterwards for about £20 each..we have done this before & its brilliant.they also do other offers! XXXX
My favorite place in London for an evening with friends is Quaglianos (Quags) in the Savoy. It's pricy but good. Dancing is excellent. Waitstaff, except for the maitre-de who attended us was excellent. Maitre-de either has had several bad months or something. When we were last there, he acted like he was born with a major hard on and acted as a frustrated French elitist not overly familiar with deodorant.
If you are interested in good pre-theatre dining and not too expensive, then try the Pig and Whistle Pub.
Try out st cathrines dock the medieval banquet i whent last crimbo with work good night out.
uhh a great place to dine out is probably in your friends moms vagina
Sugar Reef in Piccadilly,is a good night, you can either have a meal upstairs then go downstairs to the bar/club,or u can pre book a booth if there is a group of you which gets you a table in the bar where you can order bar snacks. It is often a good idea to get there early for happy hour (5-7),where you can get your drinks and snacks half price. (Line up the wine!!)
