I swallowed a bit of plastic accidently today and its lodged in my throat.is it dangerous to just leave it?
Answers:
yes as it could go poisenous and you get sceptisemia (or however you spell it) Go to the docs tomorrow if its still there. Chances are though it may be that it isn't actually lodged in you throat but that it has scratched it on the way down and it just feels like it. This is probably the case. Don't worry about swallowing the plastic that'll be ok. This happened to my friend with a fish bone she thought was caught in her throat. Get it checked out though tomorrow. Good luck.
Ring a Dr for advice
hey, it's tuesday, A&E will be quiet. Get down there. NOW.
i think you should pop down to your nearest walk in centre may well be worthwhile having an x-ray done to find out its exact location because you the plastic could potentially cut parts of your airway/throat.
if it has not moved at all . It could constrict your wind pipe and you could choke go with a Friend to A/E now . If its nothing you obviously wont mind a waisted journey. Go now..
go to Doctors.
Try fire eating if that doesn't work go to the doctors.
If you stick your hand back in your throat and just feel around you can make yourself puke it up and its dangerous to leave it there
I don't know about getting it up. Inducing vomiting might be a way. you might be able to get it down by swallowing a large (chewed, of course) chunk of food. HOWEVER: If it is pointy, sharp, or overly large, it could choke you, puncture your throat, or puncture other parts as it passes through your body (stomach lining, intestinal lining). I'd say, go to a doctor, see if they can extract it carefully without causing damage. Perhaps they have a long tong-type things to grasp it.
dude. go to the emergency room asap.if it dislodges and blocks your air tube you are not going to have to worry about anything.ever again.
Please, go to the Dr. How you you accidently swallow a piece of plastic. or do I even want to know
