I THINK YOU ARE BEING GENEROUS WHEN YOU SAY YOU THINK ITS A QUARTER OF A SMALL POTATO..IT SEEMS THERE IS LESS AND LESS CRISPS EVERY TIME YOU BUY A BAG
It couldn't be much more, have you ever tried burning one and letting the fat drip onto a tissue? It would put you off them for life.KIDS don't try it! tell your folks to show as an experiment from school!
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF RICHARD T READS THE SPORT
none - but plenty of potatoes!
I think one small new potatoe! lol
probably the scrapping off the floor
I read, a few years ago, that 1000 tons of spuds delivered to Golden Wonder for their crisps, once prepared, finished up as 200 tons for frying. Do the math. a 25g bag of crisps would require 125g of potatoes from the farm. So roughly, one bag of crisps = a quarter pound of fresh potatoes.
It depends on the size of the bag of crisps you want to make and of course the size of the potato.
2 4 pound ones make 5 packets if thinly sliced.
