ANOVA with controls in two sessions.?

Hi,
Ive completed an experiment with 5 conditions, which I want to test for significance compared to a control. Testing was split into two sessions. Each subject completed both sessions, and all 5 conditions. The control was repeated in each session, as absolute values for an individual could, for presice set up reasons, not be compared between sessions. Testing was systematically varied so that different subjects underwent different conditions in each session.
How can I analyse the data in ANOVA?
I was initially going to use repeated measures, setting the control values to zero, and then running ANOVA on the differences. But this obviously wrong as by setting the controls to 0 the varience of the control is lost. Also this is not a repeated measure, as the effect rather than the values are used.

Any help / advice / links much apprieciated.

Thanks

Answers:
The problem here as far as I can tell is that you varied the conditions for each subject which means that no two experiments are the same, it there fore follows that any analysis would not give a true variance. What you are measuring using ANOVA is any variance between at least two subjects tested under the same conditions and finding if there is any significance to the results. You cannot alter the "rules" of the experiment or the exercise will become ineffective because the results will be obtained by testing different characteristics of each subject.

I hope this helps

Good luck.
