any aspects of this subject really appreciated

What works for me best is : I SAY IT OUT(very) LOUD!

" I JUST UNPLUGGED THE IRON"

THE NEIGHBORS MIGHT THINK YOUR NUTS BUT YOUR HOUSE WONT BURN DOWN!
USE A BIGGER HARD DRIVE
record yourself saying what you need to remember and then at night listen to it while you sleep.
If you are trying to remember passwords or pin numbers, I use a mnemonic device to remember them. I assign a letter to each digit,(a=1 b=2 c=3 etc except that 0 I call o).
Then I come up with a sentence I can remember, usually something outrageous.

Example:
Your ATM number is 7430 you could use
"Geese didn't create Oregon"
7---------4-------3--------0

I remember these silly little sentences long after I have forgotten the actual numbers.
It depends on what sort of things you need to remember. However, the short term memory can only hold 3-7 pieces of information to remember at one time so try to combine the items into chunks. For instance, it is easier to remember 81, 34, 76 (three chunks) rather than 8, 1, 3, 4, 7, 6 (six chunks).

Personally I find making up acronyms a good way to remember lists of things e.g. PABRIC for a shopping list of Pears, Apples, Bananas, Radishes, Iceberg lettuce and Cucumber for instance. Hope this helps.
Give each number a word you can remember eg one= wand etc , then for numbers remember the words chosen by linking them in a story , it works. Linking abstract items by making up a story , the more silly the better , that works also .
um i forgot what you asked
It Depends on what You need to remember.Mnemonics are useful tools to learn something-relating the subject to something else You can remember is helpful.-an example-the value of Pi-I remember reading a poem (I couldn't find a link or reference to it on Google!) the words of which represented the digits. "Sir,I bear a verse abounding in magic verse and. (3.14159253..). use as many different methods as possible to learn something..write it down, read it aloud to Yourself,and/or make a recording and listen to it-You're using both Your eyes and ears to take the subject in,not just looking at it.
A mnemonic device works well whether it's a string around your finger, placing something to go near the door or even as simple as a band-aid on your finger.. Something to jog your memory.
I have trouble remembering names, so I use word association, Rose..flower, Jane..plain etc. I also try to remember something about that person and I associate with that.
I also go though the alphabet.
I also writer things on the back of my hand, not a great way to remember things but it works for those things I just have to remember for that day or evening.
Nothing fixes a thing so intensely in the memory as the wish to forget it.
don t write down notes, was one told to me, listen more and you remember more and it promotes activity. use mind maps
Any aspects?.. :-)

An 85-year-old man asked if he could be a caddie at the golf club. The pro looked at him and said : "Well you're too old to carry a bag but you can walk ahead as a fore caddie. Are your eyes good?" "Perfect" said the elderly gent. So the pro went out and hit a ball about 250 yards. "Did you see where it went?" he asked. "I sure did," replied the old gent. "Where?" asked the pro. The old gent frowned for a moment then said,.. "I've forgotten"
Write things down. That was the advice a Doctor gave to an old couple who went to him about their memories. One day the gent got up to go to the kitchen. His wife asked, "Please bring me some strawberries while you're there, but you'd better write it down". "OK" said hubby, and went to the door. "Oh, and add some cream, please", she asked. "Now do write it down". "Yes, yes", irritably, "I can remember". Before he could get the door open, his wife added, "And they'd be nice with ice cream, too. You certainly wont remember that!" "Sure I can remember: you want strawberries with cream and ice cream", and off he went. A long time later he returned with a plate of bacon and eggs for his wife. She said, "I knew you'd forget. Where's the toast?"

Seriously though, as a WW2 RAF Pilot , the DC3 cockpit check (they need a book nowadays!) was remembered by letters. T M P F F G G - trim, mixture, pitch fuel, flaps, gills and gyro.
learn more and challenge yourself it will expand your mind and memory.
